Workspaces and members
Your Personal workspace has one member: you. You own it, and its plan, credits, and any paid subscription apply only to you. You can use it for personal or business work.
Other workspaces can have several members. The owner and administrators invite members, assign roles, and remove access. Removing a member ends their access immediately.
Owners and administrators can see generated content in their workspace, subject to content passwords. Their role does not give them access to other members' conversations.
Plans and credits
Each member who needs paid AI usage has their own plan in that workspace, including the owner. A member without a plan can still view content shared with them.
All member plans in a workspace are billed together under one subscription, with one renewal date and one invoice. Each member still has a separate credit balance. There is no shared workspace pool, and credits bought for one member or workspace cannot be used by another.
Plan credits reset at the interval shown for your plan, and unused plan credits do not roll over. Top-up credits do not expire when a billing period ends. If your plan ends, your top-ups stay with you in that workspace and become usable again with a new plan. If you are removed from a workspace, your unused top-ups are kept and return if you are invited back.
Billing accounts
A billing account holds the billing contact, payment methods, and invoices handled through Paddle. You can manage more than one. A workspace is paid by one billing account at a time, and one billing account can pay for several workspaces without merging their subscriptions or credits.
Who owns a workspace and who pays for it are separate. Changing the workspace owner does not change the billing account or payment method; switch the billing account in the workspace's billing settings.
The billing account administrator sees billing details and invoices for every workspace it pays for, but not workspace files or conversations. Control of a billing account can be recovered through its billing email, so keep that address current and secure. To archive a billing account, first move its workspaces to another one.
Changing plans
Upgrades and added member plans take effect immediately, with prorated charges shown before you confirm. Downgrades and plan removals take effect at the next renewal.
Cancelling
- Your Personal workspace: select Cancel subscription in its billing settings. Your plan ends at the end of the paid period.
- One member's plan: select Remove plan in that member's plan settings. Their plan ends at the workspace renewal date; they stay a member, and other plans continue.
- Every plan in a workspace: select Cancel subscription in the workspace's billing settings. All member plans end at the end of the paid period.
Cancelling affects only the selected plan or workspace. Paid access continues until the period ends, and your content stays in place. If you cannot cancel, contact [email protected] or use the link in your Paddle receipt.
Leaving, deleting, and cancelling
Deleting your account, leaving a workspace, removing a member, archiving a billing account, and cancelling a subscription are separate actions. Deleting your account does not cancel subscriptions you manage, so cancel them first and hand over any workspaces or billing accounts others depend on.
Payments, receipts, and refunds
Paddle is the merchant of record for purchases. It charges your payment method, handles taxes, and sends receipts. Refunds are covered by our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
